Motion Sickness Facts and Information

  1. Approximately 90% of adults will experience motion sickness at some time in their lives. However, it is much more common for children.

  2. To relieve motion sickness or sea sickness, avoid alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours before travel.

  3. To avoid motion sickness, sea sickness or altitude sickness: For cars: It may be helpful to mentally rehearse a trip route as familiarity and anticipation is sometimes helpful.
