Motion Sickness Facts and Information

  1. Motion sickness drugs, available over the counter or by prescription, can cause unpleasant and sometimes serious side effects. Many of these drugs may not be suitable for children or, in certain circumstances, even for adults.

  2. What Can I Do for Motion Sickness: Do not read while traveling if you are subject to motion sickness, and do not sit in a seat facing backward.

  3. To prevent motion sickness or sea sickness or altitude sickness: Avoid strong odors and spicy or greasy foods immediately before and during your travel. Medical research has not yet investigated the effectiveness of popular folk remedies such as soda crackers and & Seven Up® or cola syrup over ice.

  4. Motion sickness is common and normal. Nearly anyone can be made motion sick by an appropriate stimulus, except for individuals with no vestibular system.

  5. For motion sickness or sea sickness: Do not drink alcoholic beverages for several hours before a dive. Alcohol tends to dehydrate the body. Its other symptoms are not desirable either when diving. Alcohol can prevent the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) stage of sleep, the one in which you dream and your brain rests. You may feel tired and un alert from just a few drinks, two qualities not conducive to safe diving. If you do plan on drinking, make every third drink a glass of water. It will reduce dehydration and your chances for a hangover.

  6. To relieve motion sickness or sea sickness try and get lots of fresh air.

This compound will also ameliorate the symptoms of dizziness and vertigo. In our observations and studies, the ingredients in this blend have also effectively provided relief from headaches, remedied certain learning disabilities, and have been effective in eliminating diarrhea symptoms. Signs and Symptoms of motion sickness, sea sickness or altitude sickness; dizziness, paleness, cold sweating, excess saliva production, nausea, vomiting, fatigue or headache.

  8. To prevent motion sickness or sea sickness or altitude sickness: Do not watch or talk to another traveler who is having motion sickness.

  9. Techniques to reduce motion sickness, seasickness, and altitude sickness: Eat before the trip, the fear of vomiting while traveling makes many travelers avoid eating before they leave. But this is the wrong move as a light meal mostly starchy (carbohydrate) helps settle the stomach and reduces the possibility of motion sickness.

  10. Beer for motion sickness or sea sickness: Beer initially may keep you well hydrated and also has a sedating effect (not many people have nausea or vomiting while asleep). But the bad effect is that it may eventually cause dehydration. Remember drinking beer may eventually make you pee like a racehorse.
